I love bracelets even though I don't wear them. The first picture shows my collection. The second picture is of a bracelet given to me as a small child from a neighbor. The third picture is of a bracelet given to me by my dear Mom. She worked one day a week at a thrift store and got it there. The fourth picture is of a bracelet given to me by my dear Mom's best friend who is like a mother to me. June had this bracelet for many years and I always loved it. I was so touched when she gave it to me. There are two birthstone (June and August) charms on it for her and her husband...this is special to me since my dear Daughter's birthday is in June and my birthday is in August. The fifth picture shows a bracelet with bees on it...I thought it was sweet...my dear Mom got this at the thrift store she worked at as well. The sixth picture is of another bracelet but I have no idea where it came from. It's really heavy and has some interesting items on it. Click on the picture to enlarge it. I hope you have enjoyed my Show and Tell items!
I love all of your bracelets. They are different and pretty. How sweet that they mean different things to you.

Hi Kim, I'm a bracelet gal, too. The second one looks just like the one my great aunt used to wear. They are all very pretty.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day!

How wonderful to still have the bracelets from childhood! I enjoyed reading about each one.
ReplyDeleteYour bracelets are very beautiful, and even more special because each one has a story or memory. I loved seeing all of them.

I like bracelets but I also don't wear them usually. You have such pretty ones in your collection and it's nice that they all have a story to go with them.

I love your new blog header! The pictures are beautiful.

Such pretty bracelets! I don't wear much jewellery but I love bracelets and wear them whenever I go out. Your new blog layout looks great ~ I've never been able to figure out how to add a banner. Maybe someday. :) Thanks so much for the birthday wishes, Kim! ♥
ReplyDeleteI love your bracelets- I collect necklaces. Whenever I have friends traveling to other countries, I have them pick me up a beaded necklace of some sort. I have one from Russia, Paris, Italy and India so far. My SIL is going to England next week, I should tell her to pick me up one from there, too!
ReplyDeleteI love you blog and I LOVE your home. You and I have a lot of the same tastes in things. My Nana made braded rugs and I am lucky enough to have one of hers, unfortunately it needs work so it is not out right now, but eventually it will be back in the dining room. I just loved looking at all the beautiful things you have in your home.
ReplyDeleteThank you trella, homedaisy, allie, kelli, karen, jan, sharon, andrea, lateadah, manuella, deb, debbie, lynda, lizzie and marie for you nice comments about my bracelets! I appreciate each one of you taking the time out of your busy days to visit me!
ReplyDeleteDeb and Lynda, I'm glad you like my new banner...I tried adding it the way you are supposed to (through header editing), but it never looked right so I did some reworking...can't explain it but it worked out okay.
Marie, I'm glad you have enjoyed looking at my blog...I'm going to stop over to see you, too!
