I hope you all are doing well...I know that I have been MIA this past year, but I'm hoping that will all change with this upcoming new year. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ If you haven't noticed, I am now on Instagram and if you are as well, please follow me at: kayshay65 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Just like many of you, I am trying to get ready for Christmas...for some reason this year it has been slow-going...the days are counting down so I'm trying my darndest to get moving.  I've been decorating the past couple of days.  I've changed some things up from what I've done in the past.  I'm hoping to get some pictures posted soon!   ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ This picture is from my annual Christmas Cookie Exchange 2012.  It's so much fun to get together with friends.  This is the 4th year for the  exchange at my home.   My daughter and I will be baking cookies this week for the upcoming exchange on  Saturday, December 21st!

~♥ Happy Anniversary ♥~

Yesterday we celebrated with my In-laws... it was their 59th Anniversary... what an inspiration in true love!

~♥ Treasure Hunting ♥~

There is nothing I enjoy more than looking for "new" treasures for my home. I have been looking to find a desk for in my bedroom...I have a wonderful view from this window. Last week, my Dear Friend, Sue, her Sweet Daughter, Julia, and I went to a place called "Thrift King"...it's in Jeannette, Pennsylvania. Click Here to See Their Website What did I see there, but this beauty... now granted they say,  "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."  She has a few nicks and bruises, but don't we all?

I paid $24.42 for the desk and $24.42 for the chair (it came with an ottoman, too,  but I have it in my bathroom).  ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ I'm always on the lookout for something unique...and this is what I found...

The clock is made by J. Kaiser G.M.B.H Villingen, Germany It's pre-1930's I wasn't sure if it would work, but I wound it up and it keeps great time. The little bird moves back and forth... I paid $2.12 for it. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Another item I have been looking for is a tea set.  I found this beauty as well:

She was a bit tarnished but as you can see, she shined up real pretty! The name on it is Wm. Rogers 800. I paid $14.41 for the Tea Pot, Sugar Bowl and Creamer.   The tray was a previous purchase that I've had for quite a few years.
