One of my favorite parts of our home is the front porch. The sweet people my dh and I work for gave us this lovely porch swing. It's from a company called Country Casual.
The second picture is of my wicker settee. I covered it with a bedspread that I got from my church's bazaar. It has a very small hole in it but I thought it would work on my porch to make it a little cozier!
Your porch looks so lovely and inviting! I can just imagine sitting in the swing with a glass of lemonade and a small breeze blowing. Aahhh!
ReplyDeleteLooks so inviting. Wish I could come and sit a spell. Instead I've got to get busy cleaning!!

In our next home, I am hoping for a front porch. I've had one on a previous home, and boy, do I miss it! Yours is lovely and cozy looking. I'm sure you enjoy every minute out there!
ReplyDeleteI have a whicker settee that is presently in my attic because the seat is too fragile to have anyone sit on. I was brainstorming the other day, and thought that we could attach plywood underneath the seat to strengthen it. Hmmmm, sorry, I got off on a rabbit trail for a minute! All that to say, I haven't seen another one similar to mine until now!
What lovely places to relax on an summer day!So cozy indeed!! I found an old chenille baby blanket at a yard sale and enjoy using it out on the patio...I just cover up the cushion for a whole new look when I need it!! Always enjoy visiting with you Kim...Blessings to you for a wonderful weekend..

ReplyDeleteI can see why you would love being out there. Both the swing and the wicker settee look like great places to be - curled up with a book or a great magazine. It's so lovely Kim.

What a lovely spot for a glass of lemonade or ice tea. That bedspread purchased at the church is perfect for a slip cover. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful porch. We have a small porch and love sitting there in our rocking chairs. We even eat there on TV trays when the house is too warm.
