~*Kitchen Tour, Part 1*~

Welcome to my Kitchen Tour! My kitchen is one of my favorite places to be. When you walk through the living room through this doorway you enter the kitchen.

I love my double ovens...great for cooking holiday meals.
This is my pantry...one of my favorite features...it offers a lot of storage space!

My chalkboard (made out of an old picture frame) and small collection or aprons.

Now you're looking back to the living room. The door on the left will take you to our family room in the basement. We also spend a lot of time there, too.

These stairs take you to our bedrooms.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I'll have more pictures of my kitchen that are a little more upclose and personal. I want to share with you some of my favorite things in my kitchen....stay tuned!

Thank you for all of your kind comments on my last post...I really appreciate it that so many of you take the time to visit me and leave me the sweetest comments...you all are so wonderful!

An anonymous poster wanted to know what type of horses they are. They are what is called Standardbred. These little ladies are expecting so we'll be having babies in the spring...I can't wait!

Gossip and Fling for short.
Welcome to the family!
I decided to try something different with my pictures. I've been adding a border around them since I started blogging, but wanted to change things up a bit...what do you think? Do you like them better with or without the border?

I went to visit the kittens as I always do every morning and was greeted by little Chewy who loves to climb up my pantleg! The kittens are eight weeks old today...they will be seeing the vet on Thursday.

~* Living Room Tour - Part 3 *~

Good Saturday morning to you all! I am finally getting around to posting the last part of my living room tour. Here you will see all of our horse pictures and horse figurines. My dh loves horses (grew up around them...his dad and two older brothers competed in barrel racing and pole bending events).
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Most of the pictures were gotten through Home Interiors or Home and Garden Party, with the exception of one that was bought at a Christian gift store for my dh as an anniversary present. The figurines are from Montana Silversmiths.

Thanks for coming by...enjoy your weekend.

The Cowboy Prayer

Our Heavenly Father, we pause at this time, mindful of the many blessings you have bestowed upon us.We ask, Lord, that you will be with us in the arena of life.
We as cowboys do not ask for special favors. We don't ask to draw around the chute fighting horse, the steer that won't lay, or to never break the barrier. We don't even ask for all daylight runs.
We do ask Lord, that you will help us live our lives here on earth as cowboys, in such a manner, that when we make that last inevitable ride, to the country up there, where the grass grows lush, green, and stirrup high, and the water runs cool, clear, and deep, that you'll take us by the hand and say -
"Welcome to Heaven cowboy, your entry fees are paid."

~*Mittens*~

Hi blogging friends...there hasn't been a whole lot going on here at my home...just the usual, laundry, house cleaning, running errands, etc. I haven't started my bathroom cupboard reorganization project yet, though it looks like the weather will be keeping me inside for a few days. I like reorganizing when the weathers not that great. I did take my before pictures. I was going to post them, but decided to wait until the whole project is finished.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
While out and about I found these little felt mittens at Dollar General. You get two for $1.00. These are not flimsy felt either...these are rather thick and you simply can't beat the price. I want to dress them up a little, but I'm not sure at this point what I'm going to do with them.

I just noticed that the font I used to add "Home Is Where The Heart Is" to my pictures is very fuzzy...at first I thought, wow, that is some headache I have...I'll know not to use shadowing again...lol.

As always, thanks for stopping by...I enjoy the company!

~*O Happy Day*~

Good Sunday afternoon to you all! Did those of you who signed up for the free Gooseberry Patch cookbooklets get yours yet? Mine just came in the mail yesterday. Even the envelope was sweet! Can't wait to make something from them.

My dear friend June and I decided to go to a local church sale yesterday. I was thrilled with my finds: an old dictionary (pages are missing, but it will be great for craft projects), a glass dome, a picture frame, and a butter dish.
I also got this lace tablecloth. It has a stain on it, but I'm planning on tea staining it anyways, so the stain won't hurt anything. All of my goodies were $1.00! I felt like I hit the jackpot.

I had a chance on Thursday to go to one of my favorite stores called the WOW Outlet. I found these jugs for $3.50 each. I decided to use them as candleholders. My friend, Mari, thinks I turn everything into candleholders...lol. They came with the gingham ribbon, but I added the candle ring and candle which came from another one my favorite local stores Collections by Marty.

Well dear blogging friends, thanks for taking a look at my latest finds...enjoy the rest of your weekend!
