Good Saturday morning to you all! I am finally getting around to posting the last part of my living room tour. Here you will see all of our horse pictures and horse figurines. My dh loves horses (grew up around them...his dad and two older brothers competed in barrel racing and pole bending events).
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Most of the pictures were gotten through Home Interiors or Home and Garden Party, with the exception of one that was bought at a Christian gift store for my dh as an anniversary present. The figurines are from Montana Silversmiths.

The Cowboy Prayer
Our Heavenly Father, we pause at this time, mindful of the many blessings you have bestowed upon us.We ask, Lord, that you will be with us in the arena of life.
We as cowboys do not ask for special favors. We don't ask to draw around the chute fighting horse, the steer that won't lay, or to never break the barrier. We don't even ask for all daylight runs.
We do ask Lord, that you will help us live our lives here on earth as cowboys, in such a manner, that when we make that last inevitable ride, to the country up there, where the grass grows lush, green, and stirrup high, and the water runs cool, clear, and deep, that you'll take us by the hand and say -
"Welcome to Heaven cowboy, your entry fees are paid."
I love that your husband's mark is in your home! So many houses look a lot like the woman in the house but not the man. I love the figurines, too. I have seen them in other shops before. Now I will know what I am looking at! LOVE the prayer!
ReplyDeleteHi, Kim -
ReplyDeleteYou have some great horse 'art'. I like the framed pictures but the figurines are wonderful, too. Thanks for sharing your living room with us.

Good Morning! I love looking at your home! Love all the horse pictures and figurines. It's nice to see your DH's interest present in your home. Too many times, the man of the house gets left out when it comes to decorating.
ReplyDeleteMy hubby doesn't collect anything except Hot Rod mags and car parts! LOL! Thank goodness they are not IN the house! So I'm lucky that he enjoys the way I decorate.
Have a great day!
I LOVE your living room and the arrangments that you have created. Thanks for posting the photos!
ReplyDeleteI used to live in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and rode a little there _ and especially loved Frontier Days Rodeo every summer. Your beautiful living room takes me back to those wonderful days on the range.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful artwork, my daughter Grace would love it! Home Interiors has lovely things...we have several of their pictures, too.

I especially like the picture of the cowboy praying beside his horse. I also like how your husband has a preference in decorating. Mine couldn't care less. Which I guess, for me, is a good thing?
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sher
What a wonderful themed room Kim. I love your collection of Cowboy/Horse figurines and pictures! And the Cowboy prayer is one I will copy down and give to my hubby :-) Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteJust love all the horses.... especially the cowboy's prayer...
ReplyDeleteTrying to get caught up on my blog reading and noticed your mittens you found at the $ store...let us know what you do with them...
Have a great evening!
Blessings,
Kathy
