One of the first things I do when I get up in the early morning (5 am - I’m an early bird) is to plug in my lights at my kitchen sink. I find great comfort in the warm glow. My first cup of coffee, lighting a candle, and sitting in silence all bring me comfort as I start my day.
We are all going through difficult and uncertain times right now. Seeing things on social media or the news can increase our stress and anxiety. That is why I’ve made it my mission to seek out what gives me HOPE, PEACE, and COMFORT.

Hi Kim! Nice to chat with you again. I like your morning lights...I used to be an early bird, but am now a later bird...rarely see the sunrise these days. I appreciated the quotes and agree...if I only felt like doing those things that need doing. ☺️ Have a good Palm Sunday weekend safely at home.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you stopped by, Vee.
DeleteThis is so beautiful, Kim. You're right -- the stress is high and that is dangerous to our immune system. I'm trying to live the moment and the moment isn't bad. It's the thinking beyond tat gets a little dicey. I love your lights. Thanks for this!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Jeanie. As someone who deals with anxiety/depression, it's important for me to do what keeps me grounded. So glad you came by for a visit.
DeleteHey, Kim! Great quotes. Love your morning lights. Routine is everything right now, isn't it? And staying away from the news is a good idea, too. Much love! šš
ReplyDeleteIt sure is. I am back to my regular work schedule here at the estate where we live/work. It gives a sense of normalcy. So glad you stopped by!
DeleteSuch a lovely way to start the day, Kim. A light in the darkness surely warms our hearts. Your view is lovely with your sweet figurines in the window sill.
ReplyDeleteI really do enjoy my morning routine. All of the figurines were thrift store finds. So glad you stopped by, Martha Ellen.
DeleteI didn't realise you had a blog! I found out via the comment you left on mine. This is a perfect way you start your day, and my! you are an early bird.

I didn't realize that you didn't know! I haven't really kept up with it, but decided now might be a good time to get back into it. Thanks for stopping by for a visit, Debs <3
