Good morning blogger friends...hope you all are doing well. Sorry I've been MIA...life happens, as you all well know, and blogging takes a backseat.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
I'm enjoying a day off today and I'm happily catching up on laundry...there's nothing better than freshly laundered bed linens (perhaps freshly baked cookies). How thankful I am that I can do laundry with an automatic washer and dryer. If I ever find myself complaining about doing laundry I just have to look at this picture that I have hanging in my laundry room and then it stops...and I am grateful for my faithful washer and dryer that are 22 years old.
That's my great-grandma on the far right...Ophelia was her name. I think it's a beautiful name.
Here are a few pictures of my laundry room.
Thanks for stopping by...I do appreciate your visits!
My laundry room is a mess ! But I have been having very bad back pain for going on 3 weeks now and have not been able to do anything except load the dish washer and cook on a good day .Once again you inspire me ! And having this back pain has made me be thankful for days I was not in pain and was able to do all my work so we can find the "good" in most circumstances if we will. Thanks for taking time out to write a blog post.I always enjoy your posts and especially the pics of your Beautiful home♥ :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable laundry room, Kim. I think the sink with the cute skirt is great. I wouldn't mind doing laundry there. xo
ReplyDeleteYour laundry room looks so neat and clean! I love the sink in between the washer and dryer! The skirt is so cute too!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your laundry room, my washer and dryer are in the garage as are most in houses built around the same time (1960's) and that is fine in the winter but in the summer it can get as hot as 110' out there and that is no fun. I try to get the laundry done early in the morning to beat the heat. Your laundry room is just beautiful. blessings,Joann
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute laundry area. I love the sink and skirt and the little lamp. I have no room for the sink but I think I'll search out a cute lamp to add to mine. Thanks for stopping by my blog and directing back to yours. I am following you now. Patty
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute picture of your Grandmother. Your laundery room is so pretty. I love white cabinets.
ReplyDeleteI just love visiting your blog and looking at pics of your house. Once again, I am in love with your laundry room. Mine is in the garage...yuck! With all the spiders and critters. It is terrible in summer when it gets so unbearably hot. You are very blessed to have such a wonderful laundry room.
ReplyDeleteI love that you have your great grandmother's picture in your laundry room. Shows that the chore of laundry has been laid on us women for a long time. My dryer is about 25 yrs old. They don't make them like that anymore and I am glad to have it still. My washer on the other hand has been replaced several times, always a problem with the washer. Your laundry room is very neat and clean as everyone has said. Mine seems to be the catch all room as well as laundry room and dog room. I would love to be able to keep mine clean and tidy....just doesn't happen. Nice hearing from you again!
ReplyDeleteI've come via Lemon Lane Cottage. My laundry area is not one for showing in public! I do like yours!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet laundry room! So unlike the rigors of laundry day our great-grandmothers endured!
