how are you dear blogging friends?
thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind comments and words of encouragement about my blogging...i appreciate it more than i could ever express!

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

i know a lot of you have been dealing with snow...my Dear Daughter had several snow days so we spent some time together...we made some mints and baked some cookies...i love my mother/daughter time and treasure it...you see, my daughter is a senior in high school and this is the last year we will have snow days that we can share together...precious memories are what i hold dear to my heart...

this cake stand and cover were thrift store finds...the bottom i found years and years ago...the top was found back in december...they are a perfect match!

i also found the two clear glass juicers at the thrift store in december...the green one belonged to my Dear Gram...i am going to look for more when i'm out and about...looks like i have a new collection started...

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
before you go...here are a few pictures of what it looks like in my neck of the woods!

thank you so much for stopping by!

  2. Nice that you are making precious memories with your daughter, my oldest is a junior and I will be in those shoes next year! We must do what is most important first of course, but I'm happy that you are sticking with the blog. Even if I only get on here every few weeks I enjoy your posts. Your thrift finds are so pretty as is your neck of the woods! Have a great day, stay warm.
    Take care,

  5. Dear Kim...always love visiting you and seeing all that you share from your home! I know that you cherish those special times with your daughter...they do grow up so fast. I have several of the glass juicers and love all old fashioned kitchen utensils and even love using them in my kitchen. It is beautiful with the snow pictures from your home! We have snow on the ground now and we have more in the forecast for the next couple of days. Hugs to you! ♥ Teri

  6. Dear Kim,

As always your house looks so warm and cozy. How wonderful to enjoy some specail baking time with your daughter. I love your glass juicers. Great collection. I sure do love your house. Sometimes I stand in my kitchen trying to "warm it up" with a bit of country but it just doesn't seem to work in my colonial house. How I love your little table under the window with the apple bowl, chalkboard and juicer collection. My kitchen feels so stark compared. Any ideas for painting a kitchen when the cabinets and counter are white?

  8. I am sure you really enjoyed those snow days with your daughter! You have a beautiful view! It looks so nice in the snow I can imagine it in the springtime. I think we are expecting more snow on Friday. I love looking out and seeing the snow. If I have to suffer through winter at least it can be pretty!

  16. Kim, it is such a delight to be able to make such wonderful memories with our kids.. Years from now, I bet you both will ponder over the snow days where you made cookies together, and the fun and laughter of that day you both shared with each other.. I know I have pondered such memories from times as such when my now adult kids were little.. Such precious memories for sure!

I really enjoyed looking at your pictures. We don't have any snow here in Oklahoma right now, but we did have some snow flurries and some ice on our highways and streets a couple days ago though.. We have really been having alot of cold weather our way here lately!

I remember having one of those juicers.. back when I lived in Tampa, Fla., I used to make my own fresh orange juice. Mmmmm sooo good!! I'd say you have a real nice collection going on! I enjoy shopping at the thrift stors, as one can sometimes come across alot of neat items! I've also found a real neat home consignment shop called The Bronze Leaf here in OKC and it has many neat items for sale! I just got me a glass paper weight, glass dish, and big glass jar with lid from there.. I shared pictures of them on my blog yesterday or so...

    Have a wonderful weekend!

    Blessings,
    ~Lynn

  18. Wow Kim, your snow is amazing! I can't imagine looking outside and seeing a view like that. Now I understand though how too much of it can get to you guys. We don't get anything remotely like that in the way of snow. It's always a big surprise and treat. It's only happened twice in the last 17 years here north of Houston.

I know EXACTLY how you feel about your daughter. Mine graduated two years ago. So far, we are still getting lots of chances to hang out..but they are interrupted by trips with friends, job schedules, college, etc. I drop everything when she says, "Let's have tea Mom.". :O)

    Thanks for dropping by. :o)

  21. Hi Kim, Well little did I imagine while we were listening to the birds, swatting honey bees out of our hot tea on the porch and taking photos of blooming trees..that a freeze and snow were on there way south to our place.

Perhaps I will have some beautiful snow photos like yours to grace my blog with too. :o) These are very special days, Kim. I'm loving my time with Rebekah. She's my only daughter and we've been having a wonderful time together this week too. Aprons and cookies make for a great week. :o)
