well...sort of...dh and I did manage to get the outside of our home decorated over Thanksgiving. We keep it very simple...lighted garland on the rails, a sled with lights and two pine trees with lights in buckets.

I finally got all of the Thanksgiving/Fall decor put away. I managed to get out a few Christmasy things...my wreath, which is hung on our back door,...

my snowman cookie jar, and my new Gooseberry Patch cookbook. I actually bought two, but only have one on display. I found them at Tractor Supply...they were only $13.56!!! This was a good price because locally they range from $16.99 up to $18.99. So, if you like Gooseberry Patch, why not check out your local Tractor Supply store? They don't have a big selection, but you just may find one you don't have at a good price!

I'm hoping to get more of my decorations out this week...stay tuned!

If a big bag of money ever drops out of the sky, I want to hire you to decorate my house inside and out.
ReplyDeleteAnd Mother Nature is helping with the decorating too by the looks of it. Were those snowflakes I saw? A beautiful house like yours is easy to give a simple, country Christmas spirit. It already looks like a picture perfect postcard! Just beautiful Kim!
ReplyDeleteI just did my nutcracker display in my laundry room tonight. I am only going to work on my sideboard this week yet I think. I need Jos' help too much as I my condition is getting a little worse. He has to work again in Belgium this week so we will have to wait to do the tree next week sometime. When will you do your tree?
Hugs ~
Heidi

What a pretty, welcoming home you have! I've enjoyed my "visit" with you and will stop by again soon.

ReplyDeleteHi Kim,
ReplyDeleteJoann Fabrics also has Gooseberry Patch cookbooks. If you use their 40 per cent off coupon , the cookbooks are only 10.20 plus our 6 per cent sales tax. That is where I get most of mine.. My latest from Joann's is the Christmas Kitchen. Most Joann stores have flyers at the front of the store with the coupon in it.
Your home is really pretty !
Hugs,
Linda
I loved your porch, always wanted one like that! I like your Christmas look on your blog. I will probably never change mine, to scary!
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of your house every time I stop by - but I think I my favorite time of year to see your wonderful, big porch is NOW! You've done such a good job with the decorations. We are keeping things much more simple this year and I just have a teeny, tiny little porch that will soon be graced with some greens - and hopefully some holly. Since I live on Holly Street it's only appropriate, don't you think? I'll be back soon to see what else you've decorated.
