~*Some New Goodies*~

So sorry for the lack of posts...I haven't been doing any thrifting lately so I don't have any wonderful treasures to show all of you. I did, however, find this great terrarium looking cage at Target...it was originally $30 some dollars but I got it for around $8 (see I should have posted about this a LONG time ago...like when it was fresh on my mind).

I found this star candleholder at one of my favorite stores, WOW Outlet, for $2.00. I bought two of them and placed them on either side of the hutch in my dining room. (I added the candle and the candle ring.)

~* A New Sign *~

I am a lover of signs...I recently found this Laundry Room sign and wanted to show it to you. I have it sitting on the door frame going into the laundry area.

Below the sign is a small clothes line...I bought it a LONG time ago (when my dh and I were first married - 18 years ago) from Tender Hearts.
Here's the full view of the entrance into the laundry area...can you see my dear Gram's old sewing machine and the old wooden ironing board???

Hi friends, yes, I'm still around...just wanted to show you the pictures my dd took of the beautiful rainbow that showed up after the rain yesterday! One thing I noticed while looking at these pictures is how green the grass looks...oh how I long for the smell of fresh cut grass...I'm sure it won't be long!

Hello dear blogging friends! I can't believe I have been away for so long...I guess you could say that the winter weather had gotten the best of me and my inspiration was zilch...but that has since changed...I decided to show you a little of my spring decorating.

Several of you asked me some questions and I'd like to try and answer them...here goes: Esther wanted to know what my kitchen looked like. If you click here you can view my kitchen tour held back in September. Heidi wanted to know if we had gotten any horses yet. No we have not...I'm sure come April or May we'll be on the lookout for some quarterhorses. Kirstin wanted to know if our home was old or whether we built it. It is very old. The house was built at two different times. The front part of the house, where the wrap around porch is is estimated to be over 150 years old and it is log, although you wouldn't know it to look at it. The back part of the house, where the kitchen is, isn't as old, but I don't know for sure when it was built. Terri wanted to know if I could show pictures of our bedroom. I checked through my posts and found that I had posted pictures of the bedroom, but that was last spring/summer so I'll work on getting more recent pictures...thanks for asking, Terri!
